Reminiscing

• 

Thunder clad monsoons
of the city that never sleeps,
came with power cuts
that kept us warm!
United us all
under one roof;
from sipping adrak wali chai
to hogging sizzling fritters, &
with transistors blaring
in the background.
Those days were the best-
our childhood days;
Now, here I’m-
reminiscing the old memories &
cherishing each moment
And I can’t cease to smile.

Drowning in Nostalgia

Those days when I was home,

With my people

Will continue to drench me-

In nostalgia & the

Beautiful memories will be

Etched on my heart forever.

I guess we all have those days, when we are mesmerized by the feelings that touched us once and then again making it’s way into our body, flowing in our blood. That’s love.❤

Even at my loss of words

You stood by me like momma bird

After saying I’ve got leaner

Mom you smile at my accomplishments

Appreciate my failed attempts

You’re the love of my life

Mom, with you I’ve nothing to worry about

Your selfless love can cover any distance

Miles and miles of sand

Million Waves of the sea

Miss you loads mom

I’d forgotten my essence-

Essence of my existence.

Whenever I’m pushed far away from my point of origin, I begin to blame myself and question the truth of life and basically hate everything. But, once I realize my mistake, I feel close to my happy self.
