Ink: Free Style Writing Challenge

I was about to sleep, when some part of my brain pulled me to Wp and I landed on The Uncertainty Principle. Prateek, an amazing person, with a magic wand of creativity and pixie dust of happiness. I wonder how you escaped the book of fairytales? 😛 He has written two beautiful articles- Reflection and Mischief, please do visit his blog.
Okay, now transitioning back to less crazy me, I was given a challenge by Prateek, one of my favourite blogger on WordPress. 🙂 I always scroll down my reader and notification panel to read his posts and comments. His thoughts always tend to hit the right cord. 🙂
Free style writing was the challenge given to me, and the word was:INK.

The rules for the same were as follows:

1.Open an MS Word documentSet a stop watch or your mobile to 5 minutes or 10 minutes whichever challenge you think you can beat.
2. You topic is at the foot of this post BUT DO NOT SCROLL DOWN TO SEE IT UNTIL YOU ARE READY WITH A TIMER.
3. Fill the word doc with as much words as you want. once you began writing do not stop even to turn.Do not cheat by going back and correcting spellings and grammar with spell check in MS WORD (it is only meant for you to reflect on your own control of sensible thought flow and for you to reflect on your ability to write the right spelling and stick to grammar rules)You may or may not pay attention to punctuation and capitals. However if you do, it would be best.
4. At the end of your post write down ‘No. Of words =_____’ so that we would have an idea of how much you can write within the time frame.
5. Do not forget to copy paste the entire passage on your blog post with a new Topic for your nominees and copy paste these rules with your nominations (at least 5 bloggers).

I was given the word: INK

I couldn’t write an article, but I have written a poem within 10mins. Here it goes:

INK- Shambhavi
The ink that tattooed the pillow
Cried broken dream ladden tears
Flowed across the convexity with ease
Down to the valley
Of danger and guilt
Fate was caught
Laughing at the most unpleasant
Yet another tear down the lane
How far the cry traverses
How long the journey continues
The trail left behind
Reminds unwinds
Time travelling through the past
Finding a recorder of the past
Working between the rays
Of sorrow and merry days
Ink that was contained within
Fell of the eye, off the brim
On the convexities of the face
To reach the final destination
Onto a paper of bad decision
Dragged and pulled they danced along
Those were the tears of those not strong
Ink was black, but now red
Fading line of demarcation
Tears of sorrow and repent
Washed down the concavity of white
Glistening white turned grey and red
No longer it fell
Dried up well in summer spell
Weak heart grew stronger
Ink that fell, now disappeared
She took a quill of light
All the fright went down the drain
Her future now turned bright.

No. Of words: 183
Punctuation is missing.
One grammatical error, *Dried up well in under summer spell*
I would like to pass this challenge to:
Nimmi
Barrira
Forgottenmeadows
Itsmine
Abhishek
Wanderingviolet
YOUR WORD IS: Magic

Shambhavi ! Where do I start ! 😀 “The ink that tattooed the pillow cried broken dream ladden tears” – I was impressed completely by the first line itself. Never could have related ink with the late night sad thoughts. Amazing thought process you have.
“Flowed across the convexity with ease Down to the valley Of danger and guilt” – I honestly have never witnessed lines so deep and meaningful. The imagery you painted took my heart. Please take my bows for these lines.
Then started the whole journey of tears and thoughts which was mesmerizing to say the least. And finally the beautiful message of strength and maturity that was conveyed. I am completely in awe of this poem and can read it any number of times without getting bored!
Also, let me take a moment to dance uncontrollably ! Main favorite main favorite !! Yaaayy yaaayy yiippii yiippiii yaaayy yaaayy !!! Thank you Shambhavi !!! You really really made my day as usual 😀

Omg! This is overwhelming. Like seriously! 😀 To be frank I was waiting for your reply. I figured you must be involved with all the moving out of hostel and the accessory. You know reading this is like drowning in fantasy land, okay drowning in land doesn’t sound practical, so we can stick to fantastic lake of appreciation for now! You have literally pushed me off into that very lake. I am obliged, thank you very much for the honour. I am so so glad and truth be told, you really got the thoughts right that I tried to sew in 10 mins constrain. It was indeed a great challenge, an inspiration in disguise. I am *yippee yaying* right now! You know people usually don’t get the gist from what I write, I have to literally explain it word by word and by the time I am done explaining, I would have bored them to the core. But, it’s different here on wordpress, I like when people see it in a way I see and sometimes they surprise me with their views, mosaic-ing with mine to ponder upon. You seem to get it right everytime. Thank you so much for leaving your thoughts here. You do have a streak of wonder, and I am glad really glad to have come across your blog. 🙂 😀
Your words are magical! 😛 Jaadu 😀

Hehe I’ll tell you about the moving out in my next post 😀
And well, your creative soul earned the lake of appreciation and it is now all yours my co-jaadu ! 😀
And truly speaking I used to hate those classes in school when we were made to understand the not-so-evident thoughts of poets. I always believed that the teacher is just trying to sound cool by reading what has not been written. 😀 So that’s why I always read your lines again and again to make sure I don’t miss anything and everytime I do that, your words make me live them. I am really glad and my English teacher would be proud of my if she gets to read your comment 😀
And to have your company here came as a pleasant surprise but is now one of the factors to keep me here 🙂

Oh wow! 😀 Co-Jaadu. Lol, I like that. It’s better than my other nicknames( sanitizer and perfectionist sounds to mainstream :P).
I guess I have already read your moving out or maybe landing part. Don’t worry, things don’t happen as we want then to happen. You are your own person, don’t bother about the rest, and live your life on your principles, as long as it is right, there is no need for any explaination, cause people may see what they wish to see. And now coming to the english teacher, haha 😀 I know, I always used to wonder, were the golden words in our Golden guide, processed thoughts of the respective poets or of these *english teachers* out there? Sometimes I feel that, we should have been given assignments to write poems and then we could take class on that for our teachers instead of the vice versa. Don’t you agree? 😛 But, if there ought to be a teacher like you, would decipher my poem surely. -_- Actually, that’s the best part 😀
Thank you so much Prateek. 🙂
          Always glad!

Haha sanitizer? I can see we are opposites xD But still your thoughts always seem to resonate with mine and this is really an exhilarating feeling 🙂
And golden guide !! Haha so many memories just came alive with this 😀
And if there was a teacher like me, the students would be really sick of him. As only the works of one writer would be taught to them 😉

And, sorry I can’t ignore the fact that you’re not so *sanitizer-phillic*. 😀
              Resonating thoughts indeed! Haha..
Our school days were the best. Reminiscing the old*happy* memories is definitely exhilarating. 🙂
That’s what I said, about if you were a teacher, See I was right. 😛
